From Keaton’s cousin, Tanika:

Our Keaton,

It’s hard to encapsulate all that you meant to us, but we want you to know that your spirit continues to inspire and uplift us every single day. Your powerful essence of love and commitment to our family is something we cherish deeply. You embodied a passion for life that was contagious—especially your fierce dedication to Black liberation, which reminded us all of the strength and resilience we carry within us.

Your unique style was more than just a way to express yourself; it was a vivid demonstration of your personality and ambition. You moved through life with a unique vibration that lingered long after you left a room. As you always encouraged us, we carry your essence into our daily lives, striving to elevate our style and presence worldwide.

You believed in entrepreneurship as a means of survival and a pathway to freedom. You would talk for hours about the significance of financial security through business, igniting dreams in our hearts as you passionately proclaimed, “We’re going to be rich!” Together, we envisioned all the adventures and places we’d explore as cousins, dreaming of the life we would create. Your vision pushed us to aim higher and dream bigger.

Your love for food, travel, and all things stylish mirrored your desire for the best for yourself and all of us. You always reminded us, “We’re not average; we’re destined for greatness—walk in it.” This mantra is one that we carry with us, a beacon guiding us toward our own paths of success.

The void you left behind is immense. We miss you every day—your spontaneous laughter, those moments spent together as you perfectly laid your durag while jamming to the Dipset Anthem. These little things bring tears and smiles as we hold onto the memories that keep your spirit alive within us.

Keaton, you walk alongside us in every step we take. Your impact resonates in our choices and aspirations. We feel you in every moment, guiding us, pushing us to improve, and reminding us that you’re never truly gone. We would give anything for a bit of time with you to bask in your energy again. We know you in the presence of Grandma Mary, resting in peace. We hope we’re making you proud, our beloved cousin.

Forever in our hearts, always with us; we love you, Keaton.
